Call Of Duty Nazi Zombie tips for survival

Updated on September 2, 2011

Call Of Duty World at War's Nazi zombies can be a great game to play to see how far you can survive. You will inevitably die, you can not technically win. However, getting as far as possible can be considered a win for most. In this Hub I will explain the best ways to get farthest. Its definitely best to play with friends/players, but solo can be done too. The game play will obviously be much different depending on what map you are playing. For instance the first 2 maps do not have demon dogs that come after you. The four maps that are available for xbox 360 and ps3 are Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Reise. You also have the first map that comes with the game itself. The others mentioned are Download content.

So what does it take to get very far on Nazi Zombies? Well you will need to work together with your team. This is very vital. If your doing it solo then things will be a bit different. You can not play the same way you would with players playing alone. Use this article as a guide to advance you. All games will be different though. Nazi Zombies can be quite random whethers its the players you play with, power ups given, magic box weapon given, demon dogs come at different times, and many other variables. You have to play according to the current game.

-Communicate with your players(coop only)

Talking to your team mates is very important because you need to know where people are covering certain locations such as windows, hallways, and others points of interest. Its also good to do so to figure out where you want to take a stand out and ask each other what doors should be opened and which ones should stay closed. Try to play with players that talk. There will be some players who will not talk or leave the game early. This is out of your control, but if possible play with your friends or find players that communicate. You do not have to constantly talk, but helps for a game plan such as where to go,defend, or help each other if someone gets down and needs revived. Information can be given to each other such as how many zombies are coming and etc. Use the mic to your advantage.

-Wait for other players to reload on Max Ammo!!!

When you get a max ammo from a zombie always call it out and say "everyone reload!". The reason its good to reload is because if you don't reload before you get the max ammo you lose however much was not in the clip. This is even more important for machine guns. If you shoot 50 rounds and don't reload then the that's -50 ammo when you reload. Sometimes you will have to get the max ammo right away if the zombies are over running you. Just keep in mind if possible wait a few seconds to get the max ammo so everyone maintains a lot of ammo.

-Don't always get Nukes!!!

Nukes are great and all, but sometimes if you don't really need them do not pick them up. The reason being is because you will probably get more points shooting zombies then you would using the nuke and getting 500. If your team needs points and you do not need the nuke and think your relatively safe then skip picking it up.

-Don't hog the Magic Box!!!

Do not use the magic box over and over again when playing with other players. They need to get weapons too. Everyone needs to get the best weapon possible to get as far as possible. Take turns or let a player who really needs to the box use it first. For example: if someone has a bolt action weapon and a pistol then they are in need of a weapon.

-Make sure everyone has a window covered if your defending a specific area!!

Sometimes there are areas where your team will want to hold up at. The map pack Shi No Numa often forces you to move into shacks around the map. Make sure to separate team mates. Some should defend windows while others guard the front. This goes the same for the first map except there are not as many places to defend. On all the download content maps there many different places to defend. It only takes one zombie or two from behind to cause chaos and possible death to everyone if they are let through a window.

Prepare for the dog rounds!!! (ONLY ON MAP PACK 2 AND 3 )

Dogs will come randomly on specific rounds. For example, at the beginning rounds they can come 5,6 or 7. Try and plan ahead and make sure your near a teammate to provide cover when they come. Bouncing betties are good to put under you or close by if they get close. Shotguns can be very good to defend yourself against the dogs(preferably the trench gun which is pump action) The other shotguns are okay, except reloading can such. Have your team mates defend each other when reloading.

Tips continued...

-Make Crawlers at the end of the round when needed

Making a crawler is probably the most important thing you should do on nazi zombies. If you don't can the last zombie and make him a crawler the round will be at a halt and you can go do stuff you need to do. These can include buying weapons, perks, repairing windows, upgrading weapons(on der riese), and maybe even a bathroom break. Use grenades and molotovs to take them down. Try and look around to see if it really is the last zombie. You can make multiple ones if you have to. Later on in rounds it gets harder to predict when the last wave of zombies are coming.

OTHER ALTERNATIVE

You could also have someone hold a zombie at a window if there defending one. You need at least one person at the window to keep him out. You simply keep repairing the window so he does not get out. Once everyone else does what they need to switch places with them.

-Go for the best weapons

The beginning of the game is pretty easy and you don't really need good weapons except you need to prepare for the later rounds. When using the magic box always try and aim for an MG42,Browning, PPSH, or a ray gun. The wander waffle(map 2&3) and monkeys(map 3) are also good, but there only on certain maps. These are by far the best weapons do not get rid of them unless you are completely out of ammo! Guns like the Thompson,stg,mp40, and other sub machine guns are good, but can only take you so far. They are good back ups for these weapons except in the later rounds.

-Throw monkey bombs when your team mates are in trouble or you can use them to make crawlers (ONLY ON MAP PACK 3 )

Monkey bombs are very useful and are much better than molotovs. Use them only when you really have to. A good thing to do is whenever there is a max ammo throw all your monkeys out to take some zombies out and then when you get the max ammo you will be refilled. This is important cause it will be easier to get the max ammo and you are putting the money bombs you did not use to good use.

-When you get instant kill use your weakest weapon

Since its instant kill there is no need to use your most powerful weapons. Use the weapon that's least powerful cause it will still be easy to get kill regardless of what the weapon is. (the only exception might be bolt actions cause there slow)

Get Juggernaut perk before anything else

This perk is the most important perk because if you spend money on other perks if you get down it will be a waste. Juggernaut protects your health and should be bought first cause once you get other perks you won't have to worry about losing them so easy.
